So, Burdo, I thought we would talk about the new Bo Burnham comedy special on Netflix

0:06.7

and talk about it. What do you say? Let's do it. This is the Psychology and Seattle podcast.

0:11.2

I'm your host, Dr. Kirk Honda. I'm a therapist and I'm also a professor.

0:14.8

My name is Umberto Castagnana and I'm a dirt and sand sommelier.

0:18.8

Rating, Burdo, what would you give this out of ten?

0:22.2

Well, this is interesting because I'm not in the business of rating comedy specials.

0:25.8

Um, so I'm going to rate it as like a Netflix entertaining thing that I saw.

0:30.3

Yeah, yeah. Okay, I will give it a seven. Wow. I gave it a 10 out of 10.

0:36.3

I can understand why. Why? Well, I had a feeling I was like, as I was watching, I'm like,

0:41.6

oh, I bet you Kirk really is into this. Why? Because he's like creating songs about the situation.

0:50.4

0:56.0

and it's got so many topics like about suicide and dark thoughts and so I can appreciate all of that.

1:01.6

Yeah. The only thing though, the reason I rank it lower, maybe I'll just get it to a later in terms

1:06.8

of dislikes. But I'm surprised that I'm predictable like that because I did not think I was going

1:12.7

to like it that much. I thought it was going to be a funny little comedy special. Did you know him

1:17.6

before this? Well, the okay. So a little bit about Bob Burnham, if you didn't know him, is he

1:22.2

started out on YouTube and he's like 30 years old now and so when he was a teenager, I think he

1:28.8

would make little songs, little comedy songs like we're weird out of. I think. Yeah, yeah. I mean,

1:33.4

I'm so unaware of that side of his life. I had heard his name, but I didn't really know. Then he

1:38.8

was a stand up comic for a while and he was about five, six years ago. He started experiencing

1:45.4

panic attacks while on stage. You mentioned that in the special. Yeah, and he quit

1:50.1

live performance because it was and it was legit panic attacks while he was performing.
