Well, welcome to the podcast. I'm so excited to have you here for this conversation.

So I always start my interviews just asking about a guest's backstory and kind of what led them to spirituality and spiritual

pursuits in the first place. Sure, yeah. So my backstory in a nutshell. Let's see. So let's see, I didn't grow up with really any

spiritual teachings or practices or anything like that. But when I was 24, I discovered, I'm 41 now.

When I was 24, I discovered yoga and meditation.

Meditation, actually, I did discover when I was 10 years old through a martial arts class.

And it was so it was always a tool I had to reference.

So I was somewhat familiar with meditation when I got introduced to the yoga and the meditation aspect of it.

But I really dove deep into the yoga and deeper into meditation, which then I became more aware of my body, more aware of my mind,

became aware that there's an idea that there's even a thing such a thing as being present or not present.
