I'm your host, Justin Boone.

Appreciate you joining me here for another Friday injury show. And I don't want to waste a minute talking about the Raiders Rams Thursday nighter because, man, that was a brutal game. It was cool for Baker Mayfield and the Rams the way it finished, but fantasy wise, just a big mess all around. So let's just get into the key injuries for week 14. I got a ton of player names on my list, probably too many here, but I got to be thorough. I don't want to do anything half-hearted. So we'll start with quarterbacks. And I don't think the Ravens have officially ruled out Lamar Jackson for this week, but that's going to be announced at some point today. I'd imagine. I mean, he hasn't practiced at all. The timeline, as we discussed all week long, one to three games likely.

0:56.6

And Tyler Huntley, he's going to step in. Should be a mid-range QB2 thanks to the rushing

1:01.1

ability. He's not Lamar Jackson, but he can do enough to be an average by-week replacement,

1:06.8

have the odd spiked week when he's out there. I'm not sure that a spiked week's going to

1:10.6

come against the Steelers defense, maybe unless T.J. Watt, unless he misses this game. I know he's had an injury this week, but still think he's probably going to be out there for this one. Even still, the Ravens, they just don't have enough playmakers. It's Mark Andrews. That's basically it. So Huntley, a QB2 fantasy option. Patrick Mahomes, he revealed that he suffered a bruised foot near the end of last week's game. Not something that you have to be worried about. He just, I mean, he didn't seem concerned at all. He just brought it up, I think, to let people know. I don't think it's going to impact his play. Just worth noting in case something happens during this game that makes it worse or unless it pops up again moving forward.

1:47.2

Trevor Lawrence, he didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to that toe injury. He's expected to practice today and then they're going to see how he feels on Saturday before they make a decision.

1:56.7

Lawrence said that he expects to start, but we don't know if he's going to be able to go or not. I don't think we can just trust him on this one. So we'll have to see what happens over the next 24, 48 hours to see whether it could be CJ Bethard getting a start in this game. And Bethard wouldn't be fantasy viable. I mean, he would just be a low-end QB2 or Superflex option, even though the matchup against the Titans, not a bad one. I mean, Tennessee giving up the fourth most fantasy points to quarterback. So if Lawrence is active, he's going to be a borderline low-end QB1, probably more of a high-end QB2 just due to the risk of re-injury there. But we're going to know more after today's practice, and we should get an update on that one Saturday at some point. On the other side of the field in that game, I should say too, Ryan Tannahill apparently dealing with a new ankle injury. It's different from the one he had earlier in the season when he missed some time, but he was limited on Wednesday, got back to a full practice on Thursday. So he should be fine and he's probably going to be without one of his best

2:51.2

pass catchers we do have to say that I don't spoil anything for later but he is

2:55.4

probably going to be without his best receiver and we'll get to that we get to

2:58.5

the receiver section in a little bit for now we'll keep moving on to running backs

3:02.3

Joe Mixen he missed the last two weeks in concussion protocol but he's been back to

3:06.8

full practices he should be back to full practices.

3:27.3

He should be cleared to play this week. And the matchup, it's a good one too. He gets to go up against that Brown's run defense. The only question is going to be whether Somaget Piran has earned more touches just based on how well he's played over the last couple games when he was starting. And no, I don't think we're talking about him taking Mixon's job. I don't think we're even talking about a 50-50 split or anything like that.

5:23.5

Mix and definitely going to be the lead back when he's healthy, but P-Rine could siphon off a few more touches now that he's shown the team what he's capable of. So that makes Mixen more of a fringe RB1, RB2 for this contest. in Pyrine, P. Rine would be a flex option, but a guy that I don't think you could feel that confident that he's going to necessarily get double-digit touches or something like that in this game. Sequan Barkley wasn't listed with an injury on Wednesday. Then he pops up with a neck issue and a limited practice on Thursday and Friday. And initially, I didn't think this was going to be a big concern at all, but then Brian Davele came out today and he said that Barkley status is up in the air, that they might have to wait until Sunday before they know whether he's going to play. So essentially that he's going to be a game time decision. He said that apparently the neck is still pretty sore. So it could be gamesmanship because he was still doing some work out there at practice, but neck issues can be legit, especially for a running back. And I'm concerned now, I will say, I'm concerned that Barclay could miss this game against the Eagles. It's also a bad matchup. Even if he plays, if he's not 100%, he's got to go up against that Eagles front. So we'll see if we get any updates here over the next day or two. But Barclay, more of a low-end RB1 or RB2 this week due to the injury and the matchup. And then if he can't go, Matt Brayda, Gary Brightwell, they would team up to replace him. And in that scenario, I wouldn't feel good about either guys more than a really risky flex option. Brayda would be the one if you had to pick between them, but Brata still just kind of an unappealing flex option there. The Seahawks backfield. So we have Kenneth Walker with the ankle strain. He jammed his foot. We talked about that all week long. That jammed his foot has this weird injury. It's not an ankle sprain, it's an ankle strain. You have his backup, DJ Dallas. He's dealing with an ankle issue as well, and Pete Carroll suggested that that was of the high ankle variety earlier in the week. Neither of those guys practiced Wednesday or Thursday, so not really looking good for them heading into Friday. We did get Travis Homer back at practice though this week and he's got a knee issue that he's dealing with he's up to full practices now though and Homer he looked

5:27.2

much improved earlier in the year he's got the pass catching chops he can be a

5:31.7

decent fill in here on top of the fact that his only other competition for touches

5:35.9

might be Tony Jones Jr. who is more

5:38.9

of a grinder type, didn't really impress last week. So if Walker and Dallas are out, which right now

5:43.9

I'm expecting, you know, barring any surprising developments over the next 48 hours, then Homer's a

5:49.3

pretty intriguing RB3 flex option. I think there's some upside there. He's going up against the Panthers.
