It's a spooky edition, a Christmas spooky edition of the pod. I'm

Major Spade. I'm joined by Jake Burns. Do you have any Friday the 13th superstitions, Jake?

I don't. I have always only referenced that idea from, well, there was a movie, right?

Yes, quite a few movies. Yeah, I'm not a horror movie guy. We've established that. I think I've

probably said it every year to people on this spot. So, no, I don't really have any of those, any bad luck. Is there like a history with Friday the 13? What's the history there? Just a Halloween thing? I am unprepared to answer that question. Okay. That answers the question. Considered an unlucky day, but I don't know if that predates the movie or if it, uh, you know, became a thing because of the movie. That I don't have an answer to. I could Wikipedia right now, but, um, by the time I get you an answer, we probably should have moved on. So we'll just do that. Yeah, no, I don't know much about it, just that it's considered like a unlucky day.

But it's kind of like any other superstition where I'm not sure what the origins are of it.

So we're going to talk about a few things today.

We are going to tackle this Bill Belichick, North Carolina thing,

because I just think it's an interesting intersection of a lot of our

interests on the pod.

And I suspect that Jake will have some thoughts about it.

I know I do.

Two injury updates just to get out of the way at the top of the show here.

Joel Betonio and David Najoku both did not practice for the second straight day ahead

of the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday.

And Jake,

I'm not a conspiracy theorist here when I suggest that them not practicing is common sense

if they do have lingering injuries and also does not hurt the Browns in their quest now, I think,
