Today we're starting a brand new sermon series entitled voices, voices, because whoever

you have leased your ear to will be instrumental in your development or instrumental in your demise.

And one of the things that I'm very passionate about is I believe nature can preach to us, okay?

So one of my favorite TV stations is the Animal Planet and the Weather Channel.

And I discovered this about these birds. There's a particular bird called a song bird. Can I get

everybody say songbirds? Songbirds. Songbirds actually have the ability to learn their song while they

are still in the egg. Wow. These birds are in the egg and they can hear their mother whatever the

song is or their brother singing this song. You should research it and they can learn their song

while in this confined compact place. It's something about what they hear on the other side.

It's something about what they hear on the other side that begins to make them get curious.

What is this I'm hearing on the other side of the shell? Make a make sense. What is this I'm hearing

on the other side of this addiction? What is this I'm hearing on the other side of this abusive

relationship? Some of us you are in a compact and a confined place and my prayer is for the next

few weeks you will hear a voice on the other side that will give you enough confidence to start

pecking. Maybe I should start having a devotion life. Maybe I should start having a prayer life.

Maybe I should start serving because this place that I mean is a little too small for me.

And it's something that I'm hearing on the other side. Can I get somebody to say the other side?

So we have to understand this before we even pray. I want us to understand this. Your ability

to hear not just hear but hear and respond. Because it's one thing for you to hear the word.

It's another thing for you to respond to it. Your ability to hear and respond

is tied to your breakthrough. The songbird teaches us that. Our ability to hear and respond is tied

to our breakthrough. I'm not just talking about this churchy stuff that you heard your breakthroughs
