I'm okay.

Good time to be on holiday, this.

It's a very good time to be on holiday.

At least that's what I thought until I was asked to write about Herbiais late last night

and I thought, oh, and sort of, you know, the kind of the late scramble to make phone calls

to speak to people to try and get a sort of a handle on this increasingly bizarre and

surreal as well as a very important story.

The latest bit this morning being his mum locking herself in a church and going on a hunger

strike until what she described as the bloodthirsty hunting down of her son comes to an end.

Just getting back to that, did you not respond when you were asked to write Sorry I'm on

holiday?

Well, no, because of course what I'd done is I'd agreed that my holiday would not involve

the weekends, games and the Monday column.

But then basically the request essentially was what the Monday column can be about, it

will be Alice then.
