Coming from the former Letterman's perspective, you guys have obviously been there, done that.

E.J., let's go ahead and start with you, man.

Coming into this game, how do you think that new defensive coordinator, Jay Bateman, will be approaching it?

Do you think that he is going to want to come out of this one kind of with guns blazing?

Or do you think it might be a little bit dialed back, given the limited amount of time the team has had to learn his system?

I think it'll be dialed back in the grand scheme of what we'll probably see during the season.

But I think with the tempo, the defense that he wants to run,

he wants to be high energy, he wants to be sending multiple guys on almost every play.

So I do think that we're still going to see some of that.

We're still going to see Coach Bateman in the heat, as people like to say.

And I think that he should do that because we all know that our first team defensive line

or our blue team defensive line are our dominant players are all all acc caliber players in my

opinion but the second defensive line is where we really have some of our question marks do we have

talent there yes we do but they're unproven entity. So I think that we need to go

ahead and throw these, throw live bullets out there, keep the tempo that we want to keep for the
