I gather that there was something of a meta discussion last week about the role of policy in the 2020 campaign.

It seems that a lot of Democratic campaign staffers must listen to the Weeds on the Vox Media Podcast Network

They obviously disagreed with me, agreed with Sarah, came out with more white papers.

I think that the most recent one, but in some ways the least sort of media of them was Amy Klobuchar

yesterday released for her first campaign policy proposal.

It was on infrastructure.

Her idea was that we should do a trillion dollar infrastructure plan,

sort of along the lines of what Donald Trump said he was going to do.

People who remember the endless infrastructure week jokes may recall that this never really happened.

Trump wound up coming up with a proposal that was actually really mostly to cut infrastructure.
