There is no explicit verse or hadith that says,

whoever recites the Quran for the deceased father

will go to the deceased father no nothing like this

at the same time there are many evidences that one can extrapolate this from so for example when a person

came to the process some said yeah rassu'llah my mother passed away. What can I do for her?
