Today, by popular demand, really getting into influencing.

I want to talk about if I were going to start a platform today and I had never before or if I had zero followers and I was starting for the ground up. Tips. I think that this could be a cool series because I do think that there's something to be said too about like how to stay relevant. I've been doing this for 11 years. How eventually to harness your platform in the community that you have created and launch a brand. So I think that there's like some spinoffs of this. But for today, let's start at the beginning. Let's roll it back. If I were to start from day one, I have Kirsten with me today because obviously. I'm going to try to keep you on track. Obviously, sometimes I ramble, you guys. Like I'm a bit, I'm a little ADD. Like, we know this, right? But Kirsten's going to help keep me on track. And then obviously, we also work together five days a week. So I'm in your brain. Yes, you are. Speaking of being in my brain, this, can you guys see our outfits? This just goes to show, like, this is what happens when you spend a lot of time around each other. Gray. Yeah. I'm actually dead. We looked like we planned it, but we didn't. Mary Kate and Ashley could never. I love Mary Kane and Ashley Tweney. Me too. I am serving Ashley and you're Mary Kate in this very moment. Although I feel like I typically identify more with Mary Kate. Again, the ADD is kicking in. Let's get back to it. Tips for Influencing.

So I want to say the number one thing that I think I want to start this episode by saying is

make sure check yourself before you wreck yourself. Make sure that your intention is good.

Make sure that you're not just like, I want to get a bunch of followers

and make a lot of money. Like that's not, it's never going to serve you in this space because

A, people, followers, consumers, whatever can smell that shit a mile away. B, this is hard. Now, I'm

not saying like, I'm, I'm not equating this to like any other job. Like, I'm not trying to step in whatever shit show that is. All I'm saying is it is an actual job. And it does take a lot of discipline and a lot of work. And I feel very grateful to have this job. I'm very blessed. But it is an actual job in a career and you can parlay it into other things. So you do have to treat it as such.

So if it's just like, oh, I want the attention, this is not going to be for you. It's not for

the faint of heart. You just have to have a thick skin. Yeah. It has a lot of highs and a lot of

lows. So if money and attention is the only thing that's motivating you, save yourself.

It's really hard to pull yourself out of those lows. you. Save yourself. It's really hard to pull yourself

out of those lows. Yeah. Save yourself. Or spare yourself to hassle and the headache. If that's

like what you're going for, this is just not going to be it. Maybe go work in sales. Yeah. So I want to say

like have a true heart and intention behind what you do. And then I think if that's the case,

if you're genuinely passionate about it and you want to influence and you want to create content

and you're excited about that, absolutely one million percent go for it. I'm obviously such an

advocate of it because it's had such a positive impact on my life and I've been
