We start the new week at Kevin Keatsman has issues with a giant thank you to my son, Spencer,

and my good friend, Stan Weber,

we're providing a wonderful football preview podcast on Friday.

Hope you enjoyed that over the weekend or on Friday.

I did.

We listened driving back home as we were working our way back toward Kansas City. Had some, just kind of some personal business we had to take care of over the last few days. I don't want to go into any great detail of anything like that, but didn't have the opportunity to do a podcast on Friday. So Spencer and Stan hooked us up. We certainly appreciate that. They're just outstanding. And I'm very, very much ready for football season to get here. Not wishing all the summer away, but I'm ready for some football.

So we'll start with some of the headlines from the weekend.

And the biggest headline this weekend is the United States Senate

passing on a 51-50 vote with Kamala Harris breaking the 50-50 tie, the new Inflation Reduction Act that is

absurd.

To call something like that an inflation reduction act is just absurdity.

It's a green new deal, basically, is what it is.

Most of the money, it either goes to giant government agencies or environmental projects. That's what this is.

It's got nothing to do with reducing inflation, and it's not going to reduce inflation.

To give you an idea of how silly the thing is, there's a $1.5 billion of your tax dollars going to plant trees.

There are new taxes, and there's billions

for something called environmental justice. I don't know what that is, and I really don't care

to read up on it. So don't send me an email and say, here's what environmental justice is.
