| 1:15.9 | about inflation. But let's just talk about inflation for a second, because the consumer price index |
| 1:21.2 | was up by a half a percent in December from the previous month. And that really amounts to a year |
| 1:28.0 | over year gain in prices of seven percent. That is the highest level of inflation since June |
| 1:37.2 | of 1982. So this was a terrible report. Overall, inflation running very hot level food prices |
| 1:45.2 | up by 6.3% from a year ago. Proteins, meats, poultry, fish, eggs fell a little bit during the |
| 1:53.2 | months, but they're up 12.6% from a year ago. And think about this, comfort food, candy, |
| 2:00.3 | four and a half percent higher than a year ago, snacks up 5.6%. So these are big numbers. And not |
