I don't know whether you've noticed. Probably not, which means I'm failing miserably. I do try occasionally to rise above the fray.

It's probably a bit cocky to put it like this.

But if I feel that they, whatever that means, that they wants us to be talking about X,

then there's a little bit of me that thinks, let's not talk about X, let's talk about why.

It's tricky, of course, because you kind of find that the newspaper certainly most obviously do our work for us many mornings by sort of setting up a menu of stories that are under discussion or stories that are breaking or issues that are engaging us.

And then we just take our pick and decide what we are going to bite into.

And then occasionally I get a rush of blood to the head, an outbreak of broadcasting courage.

And I decide to completely ignore the news agenda and focus instead on something that's popped up,

something that will be in the news, but isn't in the news yet

because someone coined a wonderful phrase of the weekend. And to my shame, I can't remember who

it was. It will come to me. Anic Data. I love this. It's an anecdote. So it's kind of what we did

on Friday. So many people were saying to me on Friday, I hope you were listening.

So many people on Friday had told me that the pinging app was making an absolute mockery of their attempts to run a business or a school or a normal service, that we decided approximately, I think it was approximately two minutes to 10,

we decided that we were going to talk about that. We will talk about how this pinging app is

absolutely unfit for purpose, because it was designed for a world without vaccines. It was

designed for a society, for a population that was unvaccinated. It was designed for a society for a population that was unvaccinated.

It was designed not for the vaccination nation that we are fast becoming. And then, much to my

shock and delight in a way, because it's always nice to turn up first. It just was everywhere

the next morning, including the government, who told us on Friday,
