Data Center's just the newest version of an old pattern.

Growth comes fast and then local limits catch up.

Or do they minutes after passing a resolution, which was mostly symbolic,

calling for a pause on data center development citywide, the Indianapolis City Council, then they approved a data center.

So we're going to pause these, but not really.

Wouldn't it have been better just not to hold the symbolic vote?

Because what, I mean, can you make the slap in the face to constituents any more distinct

than when you pass a resolution, a non-binding resolution against data centers only to

moments later than approve a very controversial, yeah, a controversial data center that has been

overwhelmingly rejected by the residents in the neighborhood

who will be forced to live next to this thing. And then also, of course, you know, I'm sure

Ron Gibson, councilman, was doing a victory lap because he didn't stand in the way of that

data center, not one little lady bitty bit, especially after his house got shot up. So he's,

you know, he's probably doing a secret celebratory dance like, yes, screw you people.

Okay, so they say they're going to take what, a case-by-case approval, an approach to this.

So in one turn, they're saying, no, no, no, no, it's a moratorium.

Of course, it's non-binding.

And then they turn around and say, but this case, we're saying okay, too.
