Summary

Ernest Wood was born and raised in Barstow California. His mom gave birth to him at the age of fourteen as a planned pregnancy. He and his mom basically grew up together. He enjoyed playing sports growing up. He loved math in high school. Pretty much anything having to do with numbers he was interested in. Basketball was his favorite sport growing up. He experienced a monumental shift in the culture of the community when the Rodney King situation happened. People in his community became more severely divided than ever before. After high school, he found out he had his first kid on the way. He joined the military and gained some specific technical knowledge. Specifically, he joined the Navy and was able to qualify for the nuclear program. When he returned to Barstow, he was hired to work in a power plant and quickly became an expert at helping to repair electricity generating equipment. After the power plant was shut down he was transferred to a power plant in Carlsbad California. He realized how negative his attitude and outlook had become. It made him start to research what was happening with his attitude and outlook on life. He read a few hundred books in the course of his research. He wrote his first book about his experience and how anyone can improve their attitude and as a result their lives!
