If I missed this one farther back, I apologize, but please do an episode on grow lights for types of veggies.

My LED lights burned my lettuce leaf. Sorry about that, Karen. I've done that before. It sucks. I moved it back farther away. My strawberries are right under a 300 watt LED light and seem to be turning away from the light.

The leaves look dry.

Maybe I can miss them.

I wish hydroponics was more popular.

I agree with you there, Karen.

I don't know what I'm doing.

I also have felt that feeling. It sure is fun though. I have a krat key

lettuce box going from seed. Seems kind of slow but it's been about three weeks.

Okay, so her real question here is about lighting in hydroponics, and I have talked about this before on the podcast.

I figured I would do a quick update episode, a quick summary of things to think about when it comes to hydroponic indoor lighting.

So you kind of have three categories and you have what type of hydroponic gardener are you?

Number one, are you someone who is just growing indoors to start seeds.

Well, if that's the case, you don't need extreme lighting.

You can do just fine with some shop lights.

You might find it a Home Depot.

Like a T5 Grow Light is what they're called traditionally. You can do just fine with those until you go ahead and

transplant those seedlings outdoors into your soil garden. Now if you're growing

hydroponically and you desire to actually stay indoors with that grow for the entirety of that plant's life, then yeah you do have to consider maybe

upgrading or changing your strategy when it comes to

lighting and so LEDs are extremely popular and that's why Karen wrote in about her
