rookie mini camp. He heard his name called during the 2024 NFL draft out of the University of Texas.

And we have precedent in this town where we had Antoine Bethay, which then became Antoine

Bethlehia. We had Darius Leonard, who then went by Shaquille Leonard. So because I have heard

various ways to say, Adi Mitchell, I will ask him which way he

would like to be introduced. So Mr. Mitchell, when the people of Indianapolis are going to be

saying your name on sports talk radio, chanting it at Lucas Oil Stadium, whatever it may be,

the way that you would introduce yourself and prefer to be called is how?

I'd say for broadcaster purposes, Adonai, Adonai Mitchell, just knowing exactly kind of what

my name means and kind of the power that it holds.

But, you know, if it's just, you know, you come up and see me on a regular Tuesday,

you know, AD or do.

I'm not really picky about that.

Okay, I'm going to go to and allow you to elaborate on the meaning of the name,

the significance of it, and why, and I will say Adonai when I'm talking

about you on the radio.

Just, you know, my parents did a great job just giving their children names with meanings.

You know, my name is Adonai, which means my Lord or another name for the Lord.

And my older brothers all have different names with significant meaning. And, you know, kind of growing up, you know, we were always different.

So, you know, we didn't really know kind of how to feel about them but you know
