1. I love everything about the Colts this season.
2. The big thing to expect is a big change in pace. Last season the Colts were one of the 10 slowest teams in the league, this season I believe they will be one of the 10 quickest. Matt Ryan has been pushing pace and tempo all offseason and into preseason, and a jump that big could change things for this team relative to market in a huge way.
3. The accuracy of Matt Ryan is going to change the way that Reich trusts the pass game. Last season Indianapolis ran the ball at the 5th highest rate. But how much was due to the pass game being handcuffed? With a QB under center he can trust (3rd in accuracy for Ryan vs 33rd for Wentz), I expect the pass rate to be much higher.
4. While the OL for IND gets a lot worse, Matt Ryan's performance under pressure will be a huge asset. Wentz under pressure (or from a clean pocket) was a major issue. Ryan stabilizes this offense and opens up run game opportunities.
5. Key pieces on defense hold over, with Bradley stepping in as a DC which will keep the team schematically close to the same. Between all of the upside on offense, positivity from the receivers on the scheme, stability around the roster and one of the three easiest schedules, I love the Colts.
Bets I have made (*= love these two)
SB 25/1
AFC 12/1
South -115*
Playoffs -172*

| 0:00.0 | Good morning, everybody. Today is Wednesday, August 17th, and this is going to be a fantastic NFL team preview. |
| 0:06.5 | I've been waiting to talk about the Colts for two and a half weeks now, and I'm glad they have finally come up within the order we are releasing these podcasts in. |
| 0:15.2 | Number of bets here to start to show this morning. To win the Super Bowl, 25 to 1, to win the AFC, 12 to 1, two bets I really |
| 0:23.6 | like to win the South minus 115, to make the playoffs minus 172, and then Matt Ryan over 3,900 |
| 0:32.8 | and a half passing yards as a player prop for the season. I've stayed considerably heavier on them |
| 0:40.7 | to make the playoffs and then to win the AFC South than I did the Super Bowl and the AFC. And then Matt |
| 0:47.0 | Ryan is a single stake for me on that player future for the season. I just love everything about this team. And to try and make it as compelling |
| 0:57.4 | of a preview as I can, I'm going to hit this from multiple angles. But look, it has to start with |
| 1:03.2 | Matt Ryan and what he is going to bring to this team relative to what they had a season ago. A lot of |
| 1:09.5 | this preview is where are the Colts now versus where they were a season ago |
| 1:14.3 | and what is going to be different. |
| 1:16.4 | Two things are going to stand out that you need to look at as a better. |
| 1:20.8 | The first, and I think it's actually something not a lot of people are going to notice |
| 1:25.0 | because they're going to go another direction. |
| 1:26.9 | But the first thing you need to watch for is absolutely the pace at which this offense |
| 1:33.3 | operates on the field. So a lot of this is really quotes based and just what we're hearing |
| 1:41.0 | from different players. And everything so far for the Colts in the offseason has been about how fast Matt Ryan |
| 1:50.1 | is operating the offense and the pace at which he is pushing all of these players throughout |
| 1:55.6 | camp and into the preseason. |
| 1:57.4 | It is all from Frank Reich's perspective a pace he has never seen before |
| 2:03.5 | while he has been in Indianapolis. And I think this is significant because last year, |
| 2:09.4 | the Colts ran 61 plays a game. The Jets at 26 ran 60.9. So Atlanta and Seattle were kind of |
