Jake comments on the number of people in attendance at the race because he hasn’t seen a crowd that large in his 40+ years of attending the race. Jake also welcomes back Eddie by asking him about his Hawaii trip.
(23:20-36:23) – AJ Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci joins Jake Query to recap his race experience on Sunday in the Indianapolis 500 mile race, reveals how many “oh crap” moments he has during the race, agrees with Jake that Felix Rosenqvist is one of the most liked drivers in the paddock, and wants to take credit for showing Felix early in the race the move that won the race for him.
(36:23-44:33) – The first hour of Query & Company concludes with Jake and Eddie discussing which driver’s finish surprised them the most because they don’t recall seeing that driver at all during the 500 miles. Jake also announces the winners for the Indy 500 numbers game!
(44:33-1:10:50) – Jake’s newfound brother, Christopher Knight, joins the program to encapsulate what his first Indy 500 experience was like. Chris reveals that he has now figured out what he will be doing Memorial Day weekend for the next handful of years, admits that he was rooting for the Rahal Letterman Lanigan cars and Conor Daly to win the race.
(1:10:50-1:21:55) – The Indianapolis 500 race winner, Felix Rosenqvist, joins Jake Query from New York City to recap what the final laps of Sunday’s race were like behind the wheel of his rocket ship. Jake asks Felix if he would have raced on the high line if his teammate, Marcus Armstrong, wasn’t the other driver that he was competing with and reveals what the conversation with David Malukas was after the race.
(1:21:55-1:30:40) – Hour number two of Query & Company concludes with Jake asking producer Eddie with a full rundown on how his trip from Hawaii went.
(1:30:40-1:55:19) – Hour number three of Query & Company starts with Jake and Eddie discussing Sunday’s Indianapolis 500 and then getting back into what Eddie needs to learn between now and his wedding after proposing to his fiancée in Hawaii. (1:55:19-2:08:02) – Meyer Shank Racing Owner, Mike Shank, joins Jake Query to recap what the last 48 hours have been like since winning the Indy 500. Mike admits that it still hasn’t hit yet that they just won the greatest spectacle in racing just yet, reveals what happened to Felix Rosenqvist’s car on Carb Day and Helio Castroneves’ car that resulted in him not finishing the race, and how he celebrated Sunday night.
(2:08:02-2:16:22) – Today’s show ends with JMV joining Jake Query in studio to preview what he’s got going on today!
