I want to talk about this issue as it relates to the Little 500.

From a personal perspective, I'm from Indianapolis, Indiana, my first job out of college after graduating from Ball State University in Indiana.

My first job out of college was in Bloomington, Indiana.

I worked as a sports writer for the legendary sports writer Bob Hamill, Rex Kurtz, Andy Graham, Lynn Houser, Patrick Bean.

But this big group of people in Bloomington, Bob Salzburg, they wrapped their arms around me in Bloomington, helped me get qualified for a full-time job in sports writing.

I have a lot of strong, warm feelings about Indiana University. As a kid, went to Indiana University football games with Damon Furbrush and his son,

Shannon Furbrush. The Indiana All-Star game, high school all-star game, used to be played in

Bloomington, Indiana, went and watched that. But I been to Little 500 weekend as a ball state student we would travel

over to little 500 weekend I have a long history associated with Indiana University and it

really troubled me this weekend when I saw what a disaster little 500 weekend has been turned into. The Little 500

is a bike race that's been going on for years and years and years at Indiana University.

It's basically for the frats and the townies and the locals or whatever, but it's a big deal.
