They're trying to make sure that they match a bill that would alter the state's definition of hemp

to match the federal definition of hemp.

It recently passed the Indiana Senate.

It's now going to move to the Indiana House of Representatives.

And what are they trying to do also with this bill besides making the definition match

from the state level to the federal level.

They've got some provisions in this bill. It's Senate Bill 250 and they want some restrictions

for anybody who is under 21. Anyone under 21 can't enter stores that primarily sell tobacco

or THC products and they also can't purchase hemp-based THC products

and they have to show ID for purchases. Indiana lawmakers love doing this. They love regulating

cannabis adjacent products but refusing to touch anything related to the cannabis direct product.
