Several years ago now, 16-year-old Yaley Martinez was removed from her home of the state of California

after her mother would not affirm that she was a boy struggling with depression and

mental illness Yaley was encouraged by the state to socially transition and was given testosterone.

Her mother was forbidden to talk about faith or her daughter's gender confusion when visiting

her daughter.

And yet, despite all of the state's quote unquote affirmation,

Yaley tragically ended her own life at age 19.

Now, unless we're tempted to think that this kind of state

overreach into family authority is limited to the left coast,

a 14-year- old Montana girl recently was removed

from her home on charges of neglect. When the parents defied the courts and publicly spoke

out about the situation, they were charged with contempt though that charge has been

dropped the child has now been relocated to her non-custodial parent in Canada and then

last week another story broke this time about a situation in Indiana, which is just now reaching

the public's attention due to the child's age and because the parents are asking the U.S. Supreme

Court to hold state officials accountable.

Back in 2019, the son of Mary and Jeremy Cox

announced that he was, in fact, a girl.
