Let's get back to the gas prices, can we?

Sure.

Because, wow, some places are reporting $4.99.

And let's see, statewide average, a little bit lower, around 409, but they've been rising very quickly.

I can recall when Joe Biden was president, it was all of that printing of the money, right? COVID relief that made all

of the prices skyrocket. Yeah, so the all time is temporary. Yeah, transitory. The all time price,

average price for a gallon of gas in the state of Indiana, $5.23. That was in June of 2022 during the height of

COVID. But yeah, it's a, there's no way for me to sugarcoat this right now. The average price of gas,

this according to AAA in the state of Indiana today, $4.42 a gallon. That's higher than the national

average. Now, I can tell you, traditionally, Indiana is usually a little bit lower than the national average. And even since the start of the war in Iran, gas prices have kind of been all over the place, but usually Indiana's below the national average. But now we're about 12 cents above the national average. I see it when I'm driving around. I mean, we see the high gas prices being advertised all over the place.

But yeah, $4.42 a gallon.

It was only $3.69 a gallon just a week ago.

So I'm trying to do some math here.

Yeah, that's like over 60 cents a gallon rise.

70 cents a gallon rise in just a week.

So Indiana, of course, temporarily suspended the gas tax to help offset some cost.

And Governor Mike Braun has said, yeah, he's thinking about doing it again.

I think he should do it today.

Last day of the month, he should just come out and say, yeah, clearly these prices aren't coming down anytime soon.

Let's just suspend that use tax now.

And that way people wouldn't say, oh, this is political.

He could gain some real, you know, points with people if he did it before the primary next week.
