Summary
(00:00-23:11) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the Indiana win over Purdue. Jake also plays the comment that Matt Painter made after the game about the Indiana fans and questions if Painter was also talking to the Purdue fans at the same time.
(23:11-37:13) – Voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, Don Fischer, makes his weekly appearance on the program to identify what was different between the first half and second half for Indiana in the win over Purdue. Also, Don credits the seniors for being the ones to lead the Hoosiers to a victory, applauds the job that Luke Goode has done this season at becoming the vocal leader of this team in less than a full season, and examines the final four regular season games for IU.
(37:13-42:14) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake sharing his opinion on Mike Woodson bringing out “the chair” that Bob Knight threw across the court in 1985.
(42:14-1:03:45) – IndyCar driver Graham Rahal joins Jake Query to preview the start of the NTT IndyCar season this weekend in St. Petersburg. Jake asks Graham how he’s feeling heading into the season, explains some of the issues that Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has had in the last two years, provides context around why there haven’t been as many drivers winning races that started P1, and comments on Ohio State winning the first expanded CFP.
(1:03:45-1:17:53) – Purdue baseball player, Logan Sutter, joins the program after one of the best performances by a Boilermaker in program history. Sutter talks about his 6/6 performance against Niagra on Saturday, takes Jake through the day in the life as a college baseball player, and what his plans are after college.
(1:17:53-1:28:06) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie discussing the Colts brass that will be making appearances on the three shows between tomorrow and Wednesday. Jake also explains the three things that get worked out the most during combine week.
(1:28:51-1:51:48) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 & FOX59 joins Query & Company to explain who the combine is most beneficial for between the prospects, coaches, general managers, or the scouts. Mike also discusses the upcoming event for the Indianapolis Colts tonight at the Murat, some of the biggest misses the Colts have had in the draft and addresses how Jake’s at the beginning of the segment made him feel uncomfortable.
(1:51:48-2:02:35) – Jake returns from break and revisits a conversation he had earlier in the show about “the chair” that Mike Woodson was sitting in. Plus, we give away tickets for a listener to go see Dropkick Murphy’s & Bad Religion!
(2:02:35-2:09:51) – Today’s show closes with Jake and Eddie giving away two pairs of tickets for a listener to go see Luke Bryan!
