Hi, I'm John McConore and you're listening to the tennis podcast. Hi, I'm Luis Grigor de Mietrof and you're listening to tennis podcast.

Hi, I'm Matt Svillander and you're listening to the tennis podcast.

0:13.0

Well hello and welcome to the tennis podcast. I'm Catherine Whittaker and I've tried to find someone better to speak to you this week, but I failed.

0:22.0

And so I've had to resort to my old co-host David Law. David, how are you doing?

0:26.0

I'm very well, but I'm rather offended having driven all the way to come and see you after all this time and that's the sort of greeting I get. Finally, we're back together.

0:35.0

And not only are you giving me stick, I'm not even presenting the show anymore.

0:40.0

We are back at the shopping centre in Putney where we have recorded the podcast before. It's becoming a bit of an old haunt for us, isn't it, David?

0:47.0

Yeah, this is where we do best work. That's my suspicion and you're going to hear that now over the next 20 to 30 minutes.

0:56.0

And also you're going to hear some of the world's greatest predictions courtesy of myself.

1:01.0

And if you go to facebook.com forward slash the tennis podcast, that is where we're going to be doing our daily predictions on tennis tournaments around the world and Catherine Whittaker, we've got a league table.

1:13.0

We have and I'm happy you've promoted those predictions because they're going remarkably and surprisingly well so far, aren't they? I mean, it can only go downhill from here.

1:23.0

Well, you speak for yourself. Mine are going really well and yours are going okay because you're copying mine and so, well, same old really.

1:31.0

But yeah, that's going to be the challenge over the next, however, months we have left of the tennis year to see who's going to be the better predictor.

1:39.0

So get your predictions in as well and take us on.

1:43.0

We've established a bit of a point system, haven't we? We've of course not in any way copied the system of Martl Ornson's predictions on the BBC, not at all.

1:52.0

No copyright issues there whatsoever. We've established our own very unique point system, which I think is a point for correctly predicting the winner of the match overall, a point for correctly predicting the number of sets.

2:05.0

And then a point for each additional set where the game's score is correctly predicted. Is that what we've decided on?

2:14.0

Yeah, that's about just to be.

2:16.0

And so far after two matches, so it's early days, frankly, after two matches where are on four points a piece having both correctly predicted the result and set scores of Demetro of Kirios will come onto that in a minute.

2:32.0

And what was our first match? It was it was jock of itch Baghdardis. So first match probably an easier one to predict, but hey, how about Kirios to meet you?

2:42.0

I was I have to say being the the man of an age that I am, I actually have to get a bed halfway through it.

2:50.0

So yeah, basically I listened to the latter half of it on Five Life Sports Extra where the team are out there, Russell Fuller and Philip Stern and Chris Dennis are commentating on that match.
