David, how are you doing on this fine spring day? Finally, it's actually spring.

It is spring and you finally got here. I've only been waiting for 45 minutes but anyway you are here. I've been doing nice shifts at a beauty sport covering the Indian Wales tournament.

It's been great. I don't know what time it is today. I don't really know what day it is but...

David's got the same weird non-travel based jet length that I had this time last week. It's very very strange.

It is a bit strange but the good news is that I've been watching tennis for 11 for a week and yeah, calling it work.

We're not complaining. Of course, as you've already mentioned, Indian Wales has been happening and of course the sun's been shining.

It isn't obscene climates they have in Indian Wales. I was reading the other day that they have 354 days of sunshine a year.

Basically, just the 11 days when your dad turns up is when it goes wrong.

It was 2006, by the way. I should correct. Last year I put you on the spot and I said,

do you remember anything special about 2005? It was 2006 and it was quite famous for the horrendous weather they'd had.

My dad obviously texts me to say, finally, the scandal of the 2006 Indian Wales trip has been unearthed and aired on the tennis podcast.

He said, oh, you forgot to mention that... I don't know if this is particularly interesting.

The match that they finally got to watch when the rain cleared up and off for tennis to happen was Mark Phillipie's losing in the first round.

Then they were stuck at the airport because another storm came in and no planes were taking off.

Tiny little palms brings airport and they were sat there with a very downbeat looking Mark Phillipie's and his dad trying to give him a pep talk in this tiny little airport

and even have a terminal. I don't know if it has a terminal now, but it sounds like it was sort of an open air shack type thing.
