I'm Sarah Terry sitting in for Warren Alney, and this is to the point from Public Radio International,

a daily look at the issues Americans care about most. The kidnap, gang rape, and murder of a 23-year-old

woman has sparked a national outcry in India, with protesters across the country demanding

greater protection for women. Five men have been charged in the case and their trial is expected to start

this weekend in a special fast-track court. In the largest democracy in the world, women complain of

oppression by cultural, legal, and political systems. Will this case become a turning point in their
