Incurable Cancer. We open the door and enter Kristen's apartment. From under

the couch we hear a cry. I laugh and say, what's Sigmund crying about?

He's a vocal cat, Kristen says, as I get on my knees to look under the couch.

I crawl around and finally see Siggi, but something is terribly wrong. I'm shocked when I see his face

there is blood all over his nose and mouth. Oh my God I I say. He doesn't look good. Kristen calls him and he slowly comes out. He moves

very slowly. Kristen immediately kneels looking worried.

Siggi's right eye is almost swollen shut.

Blood is dripping from his nose.

He cries and sits next to Kristen.

Sigmund is Kristen's cat.

He was diagnosed with sinus cancer about four months ago.

It's a fatal form of feline cancer that is incurable by veterinarians.

My brother-in-law, who is a vet, said most cats live only about three months once they are diagnosed with it.

Nothing can be done by veterinary medicine to help segment.

Since there is no medical cure, Kristen has pursued alternative therapies.

She's been giving sigmund herbs and nutrients to strengthen his immune system,

including transfer factors, blessed thistle, fulvig minerals, and flax oil.

They seem to have helped as Siggi has been happy and healthy for over three months, until
