Virginia native Martrey Kohl's was a typical teenager and like many full of promise.

In the year 2017 he had a loving girlfriend and a bright future as a talented artist.

On March 12th of that year, March Ray was in the middle of a text conversation with his

girlfriend when he wrote, I'll be right back.

That was the last time anyone ever heard from him.

The investigation to what happened to Martrey uncovered a web of deceit and betrayal

that would leave everyone that knew him forever changed.

Henrico County Commonwealth attorney Shannon Taylor learned of Martrey's disappearance early on

from a detective she worked closely with who came by her office to share some news.

She said, I don't know what's going on yet, but we have a missing person.

I have a feeling something bad has happened,

but I'll keep you posted.

The missing person was 19 year old Martray Kohl.
