Well, it is almost upon us.

Just a few more days of Democratic Party control of the United States.

On Monday, outside the same Capitol building that was ransacked four years ago, the instigator of that

trashing will be sworn in as president of the United States again. If this show is about

creating a safe space for dangerous ideas, well, there are a few conversational spaces that feel as unsafe, as fraught, as a conversation

between someone who thinks it's a great thing that Donald J. Trump is returning to the White

House and someone like me who doesn't. So in the interest of this show doing what it says

on the tin, I wanted to have an uncomfortable conversation with the best pro-Trump voice I could find,

the smartest, most articulate, most highly educated pro-Trumper.

This won't be the only piece of content from a Republican that you will hear before

inauguration day. on the day itself.

We will release an episode where you'll hear from the other side of the Republican Party in the form of

David From, a regular, well, I suppose two-time guest on this podcast, one of the most

influential figures in the George W. Bush era Republican Party,

who worked for the White House on September 11th, helped to sell the Iraq war.

He wrote the president's most defining phrase from his state of the union, President Bush,

that is, which is the axis of evil. David Frum detests Donald Trump.

And in his journalism and his magazine editing,

he champions a brand of American conservatism

that has frankly been totally steamrolled

by the Make America great takeover of the Republican Party.
