How's it going, man? I'm happy to be here. I mean, I'm tired. I'm tired all the time. But there's been some good stuff, been some extremely bad stuff. But, you know, you got to savor the triumphs as they come across and use that to feel

yourself and keep on going.

I mentioned that this is normally a podcast about local news stories from around the country

that aren't getting the attention they deserve.

We're going a little more national this

week with the things we're talking about. But I would also argue that no matter where you are,

these things impact you. And it's time to start thinking about this shit as being local to you also.

Yeah. Yeah. All politics is local politics. Yeah. Some Republican for that in the 70s.

And we are, it's here. I know people have been like, I brought this up after the Charlie Kirk thing.

There were people who. Yeah, exactly. There were people who were like, okay, well, this is going to be a

turning point. This is going to turn into some fascism. And there were a lot of people who were like, okay, America's already fascist. We always have been. And it's like, yeah, but it can get worse. And it's getting worse. It is. There's a big difference between 30 miles an hour and 60 miles an hour. Yeah. Yeah. You're still heading in the same direction. We've been baby fascist at best up to this point. Casual fashion. Yeah. It's real now. Atlas Housands would say. It is real. Now, it's happening. And we're going to talk about a few of the ways that is happening, not just in L. although the first thing we're going to talk about, very LA-centric in terms of the Jimmy Kimmel protests that broke out after that situation, which, yeah, let's dive right in. I'm sure everyone knows right now. Jimmy Kimmel was briefly pulled off the air.

As we record this, he's technically back on the air, but Sinclair and Next Star are still not going to air his show.

But it has at least been uncanceled, I guess, which...

Claire, next are going to lose a hell of advertisers.

Good.

You know, who's going to, yeah, who's going to want to watch more local news instead of the one

thing that Middle America has to connect them to the glamour of Hollywood?

Yeah, exactly.

Yeah, late night TV is still a huge thing in other parts of the country. I feel like... Yeah, it's a dinosaur, but yeah, like, how else is Des Moines or... Let's not be meaning to Des Moines. I don't know. Des Moines great. Was it... All right. Oh, Georgia. Gay Georgia, like the city named Gay.
