In May of 2023, competitive swimmer Ali Truwit had just graduated from Yale, completed her first marathon, and had a job lined up in New York City. But a few days after graduation, Ali was snorkeling with a friend in the Caribbean when, out of nowhere, she was attacked by a shark.
