joined by Ruth Benia, author and professor of history and Italian at New York University.

Ruth is an expert on fascism, authoritarianism, war propaganda, and unfortunately Donald Trump.

And is the recipient of the Guggenheim Fulbright and other fellowships. She's a columnist for MSNBC

and is written for a wide variety of outlets including CNN, The New Yorker, The Atlantic,

and The Washington Post. She's authored multiple books including her latest Strongman

from Mussolini to the present, which I highly recommend. She's also the founder and publisher

you put out a newsletter on your Lucid sub-stack about Enrico Terrio. Enrico Terrio was the leader

at one point of the proud boys. As we're recording this yesterday, he was sentenced to 22 years in

federal prison for his role in January 6th, sedition storming the capital. And you said that

probably half a dozen of these guys between proud boys, Stuart Rhodes, and the three

percenters have gotten more than 10 years. And it's a lot. I mean, listen, I don't think there's

time off for good behavior in federal prison. So like, 10 years in the pen is a big deal. But tell
