assessing the damage caused by storm debate.

I'm from the area where the flood happened in Derbicia,

and to my knowledge, this kind of flood

has never happened in the 48 years I've lived in the area.

Steve Winfield is a lorry driver.

He was working an overnight shift on Thursday,

when news reports on the radio warned

that a storm was about to hit the East Midlands.

Never really considered that it was going to be what it was,

and I went home, went back to bed,

and I woke up at a broccoli around 20 past 11

with about hanging on the front door.

And that was my neighbour, Dean,

trying to wake me up because he knew I wasn't nice,

to say, did I need a hand to sort of race things in the shed.

When I looked at the back window,

the entire rear garden was submerged.

At that point, it was probably about two feet of water,

and I'm thinking I've got plenty of time to do things.

Like anyone in this situation, he had to prioritize.
