We had our head opportunities and made some mistakes that cost us the ball game.

I thought the guys battled really hard until the end. It just wasn't our debt.

Worked so hard all season. All the guys really want this. I just couldn't get it done.

Michigan ends nine and three, and Brian, this is, this one's a tough one to swallow.

Sure was, John. You haven't had a ton of time to digest this one, obviously, but what are your

initial thoughts? It comes down to the basics of football, and when you're playing a team as talented and on a

role like Ohio State is, you can't give them opportunities. That's the first thing that comes to

mind. It's the self-inflicted wounds when you've got a fourth down, you force a fourth down,

they're punting and you jump off sides. You give them a free first down, and you let them continue

a drive. It was hard enough to get Ohio State off the field. They were 9 of 15 on third downs,

and we talked at halftime about what Michigan needed to do, and that's to be better on first

down. When Michigan forced them into third and long situations, that's where, you know, you can get off the field

when it, when it ends up being third and one, third and two, whether it's a quarterback sneak

from Justin Fields or they hand the ball off to J.K. Dobbins, it's just very hard to defend that

because of the way that they have the confidence in their offense, the way they operate. And, you know, that's, that's, in my opinion,
