Welcome back to In the Trenches. We had a little bit of a layoff, but that's because we had some special projects that we were working on.

And today we come to you with one of those projects. There has been a lot that has happened from student athletes returning during this pandemic to what has gone on since the murder of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement,

and the Big Ten Commissioner, Kevin Warren, has created a unique coalition.

It's called the Big Ten Conference Anti-Hate, Anti-Racism Coalition,

and today we will have two of those members from the University of Michigan.

Adam Shibley and Hunter Reynolds, two fourth year guys.

Also on that from the student athletes is Brianna Nelson,

who is a fifth year senior on the women's track and field team.

So we're excited to have both Adam and Hunter with us today.

We'll get to all of that I just talked about here on In the Trenches.

Let's go in the trenches with John Jansen. The former Wolverines captain in Michigan Sports

Hall of Famer will take you inside the locker room with players and coaches. We need to trust each

other and hold one another accountable, try and learn about these different things,

different issues going on, and be as best educated as we can be, have conversations with our

African-American teammates, and learn as much as possible so that we can be better equipped to

make a change.
