Welcome to In the Trenches. I'm your host, John Jansen. In The Trenches is designed to take you behind the scenes and tell the stories of our student athletes, coaches, and teams.

We'll talk about the great history and traditions we have here at Michigan and why we love them so much.

You'll hear from the student athletes themselves, as well as coaches, alumni, and fans.

I'll do my best to bring to life, Yost and his point-of-minute

teams, bump Elliott and how he prepared a team for a guy named Schembeckler to dismantle Ohio

State in 1969. Lloyd Carr's championship run and everything in between. There will be post-game

analysis as well as a look ahead at upcoming opponents. This will include a little

chalk talk and film breakdown. I'll always save a little time for an occasional story from my

experiences and maybe even some life advice. Make sure you subscribe to In the Trenches. And if we have

The former Wolverines captain in Michigan Sports Hall of Famer

will take you inside the locker room with players and coaches.

I want to win at Michigan, and this is my last year to do it, so I'm excited.

We don't have a lot of little boys around here. We, you know, some growing dogs.

No other program in this country can say that. They may play one or two powerhouses, but we play a

variety. You know, open his eyes real wide, you know, stare at everyone, and he just yells,

smash anything that moves. Once again, here's John Jansen.
