In 2008, 23-year-old Norwegian students Martina Vick Magnussen was killed in an apartment near Mayfair.

Hours after her death, the only suspect in the case fled the UK to Yemen.

He's never been questioned by the police.

Hello! We're warming up our vocal cords for this week's documentary in the studio,

the series that meets some of the world's most creative people and finds out how they work and think.

In this episode, we're following one of the fastest rising theatre stars in the UK,

the acclaimed director, Tinnika Craig, or Tinnu as she likes to be called,

as she prepares for one of her most challenging projects to date,

debuting the US Opera Blue at London's Coliseum with the English National Opera.

Tinnu has a reputation for directing theatre that has a social message and a heart at its core.

She's been applauded for her version of Jitni, August Wilson's play about gentrification in 1970s America,

and for her musical interpretation of Alice Walker's The Color Purple,

which was described as an exuberant celebration of community and female empowerment,

opening tick littering five star reviews.

But this is the first time in her career that Tinnu has ever attempted an opera,

let alone a contemporary one, and one that covers police brutality and violence in America.

It feels like quite a big responsibility.

It feels like we're representing quite underrepresented communities

and so we want to do that in a way that feels respectful and safe and kind and realistic.
