I'm Damien Barr, and you join me in North London, outside an iconic concert venue and nightclub

I'm standing outside Coco in Camden, and tonight it's where the Moorjoy desco.

It's going to be, which I am very excited about, because oh my God, do we need joy in the times that we're living in.

Moorjoy is a fashion label run by Christopher Kane and his sister, Tammy Kane.

We are going to create a path of Moorjoy, very optimistic.

We're just going to keep putting that message, Moorjoy Moorjong, and it's worked, it is working.

Today, it's famous around the world and all over socials, but Christopher and Tammy grew up on the same street as me in New York Hill,

a working-class village in the west of Scotland near Glasgow.

Actually, our mums were pals, but back to the night ahead.

It's a disco organised by fashion people for everybody, and one of the big, big, big parts of the story is joy and the sense of joy being inclusive.

And quite specifically queer, his disco is a queer aesthetic.

Desco came out of the LGBTQ movement in cities like New York, NLA and Norland, also very much the product of communities of people of colour.
