Music Scott and John. Hello and welcome once again to Bible Mysteries podcast. I'm Scott Mitchell, and this is the show that talks about things in the Bible. The world doesn't want you to know. We got a very fun and special episode today because when John and I went to record this episode, there were some issues with his

internet service. John and I don't live in the same city, so we record remotely. And John's

going to take care of that, but he could not continue with me on the episode because of the

technical problems. So to turn lemons into lemonade, our dear brother in Christ, Brad Davis has come to the rescue to co-host with me today. Brad, welcome to Bible Mysteries.

Good morning, Scott. Glad to be here. Thank you, brother. You are no stranger to Bible Mysteries. We did an episode with you where we talked about your music and your career as a believer in the music industry.

But today you and I are going to talk about music from a different perspective.

Some time ago, John and I did an episode about the lyrics of the song Hotel California by the Eagles.

And there was a line in there where they wrote, we are all just

prisoners here of our own device. And we kind of played with that, like, is that predicting

social media and iPhones and all that kind of stuff? And that was a popular episode, and we decided,

well, we need to do more of that. John's been wanting to talk about lyrics more and more because

there's so much out there that we could talk about that's either negative or in this case we found a positive and we're

going to talk today about a song by Earth, Wind and Fire called In the Stone. Were you familiar

with that? I know you and I'm about the same age. I was and I went back and revisited it yesterday

after you had spoke to me about doing the show.

And I was like, man, I remember that song.

And now with the new idea that it may connect to scripture even more, it really may be pay attention to the lyrics.

Yeah, that was the same thing.
