Summary

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off by talking about Kyle's recent trip to New Orleans and Orange Beach. Also, Kyle's ongoing battle with the Texas heat, since his air conditioning system shut down over a week ago and the part required to fix it is not available for a few more days. After the break, Kyle brings up some more strange Shadow People/Shadow Being sightings. Was it a natural shadow? Your heightened imagination? Or a ghost? Maybe it was something that seems to be a spreading phenomenon—apparitions that are coming to be known as "shadow people" or "shadow beings." Perhaps this is an old phenomenon with a new name that is now being discussed more openly, in part thanks to the Internet. Or maybe it's a phenomenon that, for some reason, is manifesting with greater frequency and intensity now.

Those who are experiencing and studying the shadow people phenomenon say that these entities almost always used to be seen from the corner of the eye and very briefly. But more and more, people are beginning to see them straight on and for longer periods of time. Some experiencers testify that they have even seen eyes, usually red, on these shadow beings. The mysterious sightings have become a hot topic of conversion in paranormal chat rooms, message boards, and websites, and it is given widespread attention on paranormal talk radio. Several theories have been offered as to what shadow people are, and where they come from. What are they? A figment of Imagination? Ghosts? Demons? Astral Bodies? Time Travelers? Interdimensional Beings? Or Aliens?

Go ahead and tell them what happened. You're right. First, before we go any further, I'm going to preface this. You may hear the AC in the background. Look, I'm sorry,
1:12.1	y'all are going to have to get over it. It's like 104 here, and I'm not turning it off. Yeah, normally we have the studio cooled down. And before we start recording, Mary, we'll turn the AC and everything off. So there's no background noise. But today, it's just, it's too hot outside. It's unrelenting today.
1:26.2	So if you listened to the last episode,
1:28.6	you knew about my troubles with our air-condition unit. Yeah, folks, it went out. Let's see,
1:34.2	that's going to be like nine days ago. And we had our trip. We went to Alabama. We went to
1:40.2	Louisiana, Mississippi. And I figured, well, it'll get fixed while we're out of town.
1:44.7	Perfect timing, right?
1:45.7	It breaks down.
1:46.2	We only have to put up with it for like two days before we leave. Well, I'm on the phone, Walt. We're on the trip back and forth with the AC guys. I get a phone call, and I'm assuming it's going to be, hey, everything's good. You're good to go. What do you want me to set the thermostat to so when you get home, walk into the cool house?
2:01.1	What they told me instead was, well,
2:03.0	there's this part that's broken. And I'm like, yeah. And they're like, well, nobody has them. I'm like, what do you mean? Nobody has it. He's like, we're going to have to special order it. and it's going to be about five more days before it's here.
2:17.5	So I'm like, oh, that's just terrific, right?
2:20.1	So that's what we had to come home from a week. and it's going to be about five more days before it's here.
2:20.0	So I'm like, oh, that's just terrific, right?
2:25.8	So that's what we had to come home from a wonderful vacation to a house that was about 88 degrees inside.
2:27.0	And it's hot.
2:31.2	And the temperature, like you mentioned, is 104 today, but it was 106 yesterday.
2:33.4	And there's not much relief in sight.
