He's teaching the crowds, but then he turns his attention to one.

Simon, put your net out for a catch.

That while I pray the Holy Spirit comes and overtakes everything that happens here

and teaches the crowd, I want you to feel the power of the

Holy Spirit talking straight to you, saying your name.

We see Jesus in this particular scene beating Peter at his own game.

Peter is the good fisherman. Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch. Master, Simon replied, we've worked hard all night long and caught

nothing. And I don't know, you don't know from the word of God whether there's a pause there or not.

I hope all of it is redone for us when we're in eternity

and we can see all of it taking place.

Where somehow there's like a videotape where they don't really need a tape.

There's nothing to put in.

But all of a sudden we just get to watch a tape of how it all went down.

And whether or not he paused, because I wonder if he just went,

you know, we fished all night long and caught nothing. And maybe if Jesus just kept staring at him like this,

and they went, but if you say so, I'll let down the nets. And when they did this, they caught

a great number of fish and their nets began to tear. And it says, so they signaled to their

partners in the other boat to come and help them.

And they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

I want to tell you something, don't take this too far.

Just listen to me a little bit, metaphorically speaking.

But sometimes, as a servant of Christ, you'll be pretty sure that Jesus must be trying to kill you.
