| 0:27.0 | So let's get right to it and jump into this week's topic in the news. Now normally in the news when Chris Hemsworth pops up it's simply because of the fact that he is Thor. |
| 0:47.0 | He's able to lift Meoleneer, he's got Stormbreaker, and he's pretty much one of the original characters of the Avengers that's still doing pretty great in the movies. |
| 0:54.8 | I don't care what you said, Thora Love and Thunder was still pretty great. |
| 0:58.1 | However, recently he's generated a lot of interest in Alzheimer's disease simply because he had some genetic testing as part of a new TV show he's releasing in which it was discussed that he has two copies of the APOE-E-4 gene. |
| 1:12.0 | We know this is one of the known risk factors for developing the disease. |
| 1:16.0 | Because of this, he then subsequently announced he was going to step away from acting for a bit, |
| 1:20.0 | spend more time with his family, and reassess his priorities. |
| 1:23.4 | So what does this actually mean? What does this gene diagnosis actually carry? |
| 1:28.0 | Well, the first thing to remember is that these genes mean that you have an increased risk of a disorder like Alzheimer's. |
| 1:34.5 | But how much of that role is still very uncertain. |
| 1:37.2 | It's important for everyone to remember that when they hear about these things and |
| 1:40.1 | if they themselves also carry these genes, |
| 1:42.7 | that the genes are not their destiny. |
