Some of the topics we will discuss are the new Covid variant, which is the new dominant variant in the US. Next is the rise of vibrio vulnificus (the bug you learned about in microbiology), which is a bacteria that can be found in warm, salty water and can lead to severe illness such as sepsis and death. And a possible myth that made its way around social media.

1:13.4	It actually caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake.
1:17.8	You might be wondering why am I mentioning Taylor Swift?
1:20.1	Well, it's an interesting fact that someone with such an amazing musical career can cause an earthquake.
1:24.6	And that's pretty interesting especially if there's a supervillain out there who's trying to take over the world, but I digress.
1:29.8	The reason why I'm mentioning the Ares Tour with Taylor Swift is because of the new COVID variant called E.G. Point 5, also known as Eres.
