Lord, that you would be among us this night in your word. We desire to open up the pages of your Bible,

and you desire to open up, Lord, as it were, the pages of our hearts, to have the word of God

deeply embedded within us. Father, we see things in the world that we would say, that's rock solid,

or we would see things in the world that we would say that's rock solid or we would see things in the world that we would say that this is firm, this is sure, this is certain.

And Lord, would you deal with us any less than that?

Would you leave us to be a people unsure about our walk with you?

Would you work in our lives or not in such a way where we are not convinced by your Holy Spirit

that we are your children?

Lord, if we can take a DNA test in this world to prove belonging,

how much more the DNA of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer?

So, Father, we pray for your presence tonight.

We ask you, Lord, that you bless our time of Bible study,

and we pray that in 55 minutes

from right now, we would be a different people. We are handling the eternal word of God,

and for us to expect anything less would be a display of the lack of faith.

So, Lord, be great and awesome in our lives because you are great and awesome in reality.

May there be no void between who we are and what is real.

We praise you, God, for who you are in Jesus' name.

And all God's people said, amen.

Church family, let's stand as we honor the Word of God in reading it together.
