With a woman at look at culture from a Christian worldview, I'm John Stone Street with a point.

Recently, a visiting priest and Carrie Ireland spoke clearly about sexuality and gender during

his homily.

Of transgenderism and same-sex sexuality, he stated,

It's sinful.

A mortal sin.

He went on to describe then the power and the possibility of forgiveness and response

the Irish mirror called his message bizarre.

And the Bishop of Carrie apologized, saying that the priest views, quote, do not represent

the Christian position.

Except, of course, they do.

Unlike those of at least five bishops in the Church of England who called this month for

same-sex marriage ceremonies to be officiated in the church.

In response, Calvin Robinson, another so-called shocking priest, so shocking in fact that the

Church of England would not ordain him, boldly reminded the bishops that Christ does not

fit into the box of their reinterpretation of Scripture.

But culture is most powerful in what it normalizes.

And when lies are normalized, the truth becomes shocking.

Thank God for Christian ministers still willing to shock and speak the truth.
