Jesus told us, therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as you think not, the son of man cometh.

Jesus is coming as a thief in the night for a select group of people.

Don't be caught unaware, regardless of whether we all agree on every prophetic interpretation or not,

What an ominous prophecy in the Bible.

That the Lord would come for you as a thief in the night.

It doesn't have to be that way, though.

Not everybody will be surprised when the Lord comes.

1st Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 1 through 9.

The Apostle Paul said,

But of the times and seasons, brethren,

you have no need that I write unto you,

for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comest as a thief in the night.

Now, many people stop reading right there, and they think, well, nobody's going to know when he's coming.

It's just going to be this. It will be a supernatural event, but some people will have a very good idea when the Lord is coming.

So many people stop reading right here at The Thief in the Night, but verse 3 says,

For when they shall say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them,

as to prevail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape.

Then listen to verse four.

But ye brethren, the apostle Paul is talking to us now.
