And folks, I'm quite pleased to have with me today, Colby Day. He is the

screenwriter of In the Blink of an Eye, which you could watch right now on Hulu. It's in your pocket. But for the sake of all that's good in humanity, please do not watch it on your phone. I was lucky enough to see it at Sundance this year, and I saw it on the big screen with 1,200 people, and it was a cool experience.

I really dug it, which is why I am quite psyched to have Colby in the podcast, and we really

do a deep dive here, because as you will hear, this was on the blacklist, and then it kind

of went through development hell for a few years before it was finally made into a movie, and

actually, in backstory magazine, we have a section called Blacklist Tales where we take a

script with the author's permission from the Blacklist and do an interview about the screenplay,

which is then unproduced, and publish the screenplay in its entirety.

So the fun thing here is that if you want to, you could read the article and the interview and the original

screenplay as of that time, which I believe was 2018, and see how it's changed to the final

film, because it's sitting right there for your enjoyment in the magazine. But look, Colby was

great at giving us insight into his creative process and what it took to make in the blink of an eye
