I'm sitting in one of my favourite spots in the whole world next to the River Dee.

It's a spot that I've spent many an hour contemplating life

because it's quite close to where I grew up and where I live now.

swallows who are bouncing above the water playfully. I've always felt very connected to this river.

across Nan Shepherds, the Living Mountain.
