0:43.7 | She came from a Christian family. She went to play basketball, a University of North Carolina. |
0:50.1 | And the first two years of her basketball career there, she had a strong Christian coach who backed her up, |

1:00.6 | but she was able to stand by her convictions because of the leadership of this coach. |
1:06.1 | And then going into her junior year, the coaches switched. |
1:10.3 | And the new coach really had no compassion or |
1:14.5 | patience for Christian convictions in her team. And the pressure for Leah to compromise became so |
1:22.9 | strong that it really came down to the choice. Either I have to compromise or I'm going to stand by |
1:30.7 | my convictions and my faith in Christ. And she said that was one of her darkest times because |
1:38.1 | she loved basketball, still does, especially North Carolina. She's a huge Carolina van. But she chose to not compromise. |
